Hey guys,

Just curious what's the best chamois to get?

What brand?

What type (synthetic/leather)?

Where to get it?

I have a cheap synthetic and it's a waste of time. Grandad was here the other day and lent me his leather one that dad used to use when he was a teenager (read :it's 30+ years old) and it was awesome! Too bad the container had lost it's label over the 30 years, so I don't know the brand.

Thanks

Chris

Get an Oats brand one. When my mum was doing Enjo thats the only thing that was better, was the chamois. We have the enjo one tho, works ok, so if the oats one is better, should be good. I think bunnings or BigW would have them.

regarding chamois

as a detailer i have used a lot of good chamois and a load of utter crapp. the best chamois are the enka-fill or oats. perferated ones are very absorbant, but hold dirt, by far the best ones to get are the new microfibre ones there expensive but they are awesome.

it is vital to take car of your chamois so they take car of your paint. after every use rinse it out.

and another thing any one whi uses an enjo on a car should be SLAPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The small one was $13, the large was $23.

I got it from "Auto1" not sure if it is a generic parts store in other areas or not? (I am in Newcastle NSW)

It's a orange bottle, so it's pretty obvious.

The Enka and Oates are the same thing. I got the impression from this thread they were different, but Oates is the brand and enka-fill must be the model or something.
