what size spacers for 18x9 on R34 GTT?

hi guys im new to sau so not sure if there is already a thread that can answer my question.

cut it short, i have got these italian MAK wheels(18x9, 5/114.3 PCD, offset 55) that i want to put them on my GTT. i have fond that the optimum 18inch wheels and tyres combination for a GTT is

Front: 18x 8.5 (35 offset) 235/40R18

Rear: 18x 9.5 (38) 255/35R18

Now the question is what size spacers should be used on these wheels so that their offset(original 55) will become equivalent of a 35 and 38? the reason i ask is because i have been told that 18x9 wheels with offset of 55 is too wide for the GTT and will probably damage(touching) the suspension.

any comments would be helpful.

AFAIK, spacers are illegal in all states.

thanks dude, i get it, just add(takeaway) the spacer width to the existing offset.

no ,subtract from +55 offset 20 that gives you 35 ,your standard offset should be 38

so the nuts have some meat to bite and grip onto, because ur taking about 20mm off the length essentually.

would be easier to sell off the wheels and get new ones. Where did you get the wheels from? ...

take them back?

Your thinking of the wrong spacers ! You cant use them the studs are not that long so you can put spacers and then the wheels on .

You can buy bolt on spacers and they have their own studs .

i think i might take your advise just sell them and get some monoblock lightweight 17*8 rims with the exact offset.
