hi guys,

Looking at purchasing some 18s for the R34GTT the offsets are:

F: 18x8 offset +22

R: 18x9 offset +40

I'm not really across how the offset figures work but would this be a suitable or respectable offset for an R34GTT?

Thanks all for any responses in advance.

Cheers

Jon

try this site...it solved the whole offset" mystery" for me

offset calculator

thanks for tht jake! awesome site!

this is the result I got...which I presume is fine

Your new wheel will have the following chracteristics:

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 13mm MORE

The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 13mm

I found that with 235 fronts I need to fit 265 rears as my 255's caused a TCS error explained below

235 = 79.8 inch rolling radius

255 = 78.6 inch rolling radius

The TCS can see this difference and , on my car, activated the TCS above 140kph (the rears were doing 2mph more than the rears at that speed and the TCS saw this as wheel-spin)

Fitting 265 tyres cured this as there is only 1/3rd of an inch difference so no wheelspin sensed (unless you really are wheelspinning!)

The Offsets are also good for 8" wide fronts and 9" rears (as on mine)
