battery concerns

hi.. recently popped my hood and saw blue colored liquids staining my -ve and +connectors, more on the -ve side. Anyone has any idea what happenned? whats the cause ? thanx ,

Had it serviced lately ? - sounds like an anti-corrosion application,that I've seen used.

i just changed the timing belt, not sure if the mech did that, but if it is , then i'm sure he done it.Because it never happenned before, corrosives yes, but i have never seen blue colored liquid staining the connectors.. So i shud assume its a anti corrosive liquid?

has the battery been there a really long time?

not very sure, just got it from japan not too long ago, judging from the battery, doesnt look old.

Yep, that blue stuff you will find is Battery Terminal Protector.
