Poncams Installation Qs.

I will be installing my new cams on very soon, but wanted to know if the car will run too rich/lean, so as to be unsafe to drive for a week or 2 before the retune?

or

maybe i should put in the new cams and take it straight to get it tune after installation?

They tend to run a tad rich down low. Don't go driving around with them too much before a tune or your end up with fowled plugs.

i personally cant see a problem with drive it , i wouldn't go ringing it neck tho

as the maps are unchanged and it still does all its calculations from afms,rev and o2 sensors etc, it may just run in a slightly different part of the map. So basically take it cruisy keep an eye out for any engine light flicker (very unlikely) and get to the dyno as soon as you can.

If installed and timed properly, the Poncams run just fine without a tune. The map changes on the 3 X RB25's that we have done have been pretty minimal really.
