VQ30 – Need info.

One of my buddies I know did a VQ30 conversion into his Laurel, basic modifications include; T04e turbo, wolf3d, cooler, exhaust ect. How much power can these hold until they’ll go bang? Max boost? How big are the injectors? On self-road tune it made 250rwhp @ 9psi at a dyno day. Any guesses at what it could make with max safe boost?

Currently a dodgy manual box (Rb20 I think) is behind it holding on by 3 bolts What gearbox will bolt straight up without custom adapter plate? No one can give a straight answer.

Any help with the above would be great.

I considered a VQ swap for my r32 but the lack of a cheap box put me off.

The only manual boxes come off the 350Z and V35 skylines. The engine probably came out of a Cima or Cedric (i think), which are all autos.

An adapter plate would probably be the best option for cost as the above boxes fetch stupid amounts of cash
