i do this generally after doing any mods and before a dyno day some people reckon it does nothing others see quite a bit of improvement (well in their eyes)

- Unplug the battery

- Pump the brake a few times till it goes really firm.

- I generally also leave it 12 hours just to make sure all the power is gone eg do it at like 8 or 9 at night and just hook it back up the following morning.

- take the car out for a good strap obviously let it warm up but give it a good boot for a while.

Someone correct me if i am wrong but the purpose of this is to reset the ECU's memory. This causes it to have to re-adjust the timing and general other things. Anyways DO A SEARCH MATCH BOX OWNER lots of posts on it ;)

just diconnect the battery, depress the brake pedal till the light on the ECU turns off, not long about 3~5 secs, and reconnect the battery, then take it for a drive to make it "learn" your driving style,

or disconnect the battery and leave it overnight, reconnect the battery, then take it for a drive to make it "learn" your driving style,
