I have just bought one of these manifolds I bought its for $400 with a dump pipe included also and I sold that for $150 so it owes $250 and I thought surely it couldnt flow any worse than the crappy stock manifold and for that price I couldnt go wrong. It will be bolted to a HKS GT3037Pro S, wont really be able to do comparisons cause im doing a heap of other stuff at same time.

What did you pick up the 3037ProS for?

Be sure to keep us updated with dyno/boost & RPM figures. :P

I will be going the 3037ProS on the rb30det. :)

I picked it up for $2900 with a stainless dump pipe to suit and it was near new when I got it.

Well before with a standard internal engine but with big injectors, FMIC, haltech, 3" exhaust I got 270rwkw on 14psi which was pretty good I though. So with the new engine I should be able to push to its full limit :D

With both of the setups it looks like the front three ports go into one pipe and the back three feed direct to the turbo?

As Cubes said, looks like you'd get reversion at port three as it would be hitting the combined gases from ports one and two. Also I've read that this sort of setup would produce major hot spots at the point where port two joins port one and where port three joins one and two. This could cause cracking ect in both manifolds.

But then again - this is all just theory...

I had this manfold and had alot of problems. Out of the box it was warped to shit, needed to be faced. The tab that reinforces the t3 flange to the pipes cracked within days, the pipes themselves didnt crack though (in the two weeks I left it on there). I have photo's on the home pc of the china and std manifolds next to each other, the one I have (same as your pic) had noticeably smaller ports than the stock manifold, the merge points were messy as hell (the ones I could see), and the the design is simply very poor for flow.

I was making a pitiful 240rwhp with 20psi with this manifold. Did some porting on the inlet, ditched the china manifold and converted the td06 to external gate and ended up with 265rwhp at 15psi without any extra tuning. This power figure is still low but we havent put much time into the tune since we plan to run much more boost once elec boost cont'l is setup. Draw your own conclusions on what resulted in the power gain...

I will put up some pics tonight comparing the two

hmmm.

The comp housing is identical to the t300s i have but mine has a .67 exhaust housing with old school oil only core.

I'm expecting it to be a bit of a lightswitch on the rb25 with the small exhaust but a bit choked at the top. Hopefully should see the high side of 250rwkw.

Excellent, sounds like my turbo. Push 20psi through it and no doubt it will be over 300rwkw, providing the exhaust is flowing well

Care to share how it spooled? What RPM the car felt as if it really got up and started moving?

I had full 14psi by 4000rpm easy, hopefully with the new cams, ported head, different manifold and increased exhaust to 4" it should spool up a little better.
