This is really pissing me off!

My skyline's car battery is flat...again!

I suspect that there is a leak somewhere. I've got all this electrical aftermarket equipment (boost ctrl, turb timer, alarm)...could they be causing the leak? Is there a way for me to find out where the leak is? Common battery problems I'm not aware of??

You fellow skyliners exp the same problem??

I would buy a new battery, this is what was happening to mine. I would go cruising and come back, the next morning bang, battery is dead. So i bought a new battery from Autobarn, it cost me a $100 and its all good now. i would try that see how you go

Thanks for the info guys!

Could be the alternator, but not sure how to check.

The battery has gone flat before, and I had it slow recharged (with the yellow charger?) for about 2 hours. It all looked sweet and the battery seemed charged. But 3 weeks after...its dead again. I guess the car's only a weekend car, but I dont think its normal for a battery to just wear out so quickly....

cowboyb is the battery light on in the dash?? if not then ur alternator should be fine. its prob just ur battery on its way out.

get a new name brand one and u shoud b fine. 2 measure how much drain there is when ur cars off just borrow someones multimeter set it to measure amps then hold the red wire of the meter to a part of the body then the black wire to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. then disconnect the black wire comming off the battery. take a measurement for a few seconds then refit the wire back to the battery. it shouldnt be more than a few hundred miliamps. if ur the car is drawing 1 amp or more (without ignition on) then there is a serious wiring fault some where or some thing in ur car is sucking all da juice out of it. ur sub amp mabey??:P

hope this helps

could it be the alternator screwing up

this could be a possibility!

std batteries are crap as they come stock don't seem to last logn and won;t crank the engine over for too long

i just replaced my standard battery in 2002 and the car was made in 1993, i think that is a pretty good life, correct me if im wrong?
