Goodyear Eagle F1 Gsd3 235/40/18

dry: 10

wet: 10

over all: 10/10

these are the best tyres for a street car that sees an occasional race day.

My car is also used in hill climb type runs and these tyres wet or dry offer an amazing amount of grip.

^^ I would have to disagree with you there, in the wet maybe for some applications but in the dry no, i have run both the GSD3 and Potenza S03 on the rear of my S14 ( with every suspension mod avaliable so alignment is spot on ) and the difference is worlds appart, the S03 is so much a better tyre, i find even in the wet which is surprising seems the GSD3 is suppose to be a wet weather tyre.....

Just brought the new bridgestone adrenalin RE001 for my GTR in 265/35/18 @ $450 p/t, so far they are going great compared to the Advan A048s I took off, but it is very wet and so thats probley not a fear comparison, Anyone interested in how they go be at the SUA track at wakefield day and i happerly take you for a run. :)

I am really keen to see how these Adrenalin,s go for you as i am looking at getting a set fitted to my Gtst next weekend.. Anyone else got these fitted yet?.. i belive they have only been out for two weeks and are claimed to be a better sticking tyre than any other potenza.. any one???

Dave

Toyo T1rs on the track had huge amounts of grip!! very happy these rubbers.. But only got them on the fronts..

Rear advan ad07s.. anyways i could predict the front, and toyos never failed or became to hot or any other issues..

Just thought i let people know!!

:P

So far shaping up to be a good thing, i've had G3s and S03s in the same size and on these rims and the RE001s seem

better alround and a fairly good match for the Advan A048s for dry street use and walk all over them in the wet, can't

wait to get them on to the track to see how they go compared to the Advans.

What I really want to see is how they go against the 595RS Feds.

What would a set of Toyo T1r's set me back to fit Stock R33 gtst rims? Happy with their grip....Cheers!!!

I'm going to get a set of these for my next set.

I was quoted:

225/50/R16 $200ea fitted

205/55/R16 $200ea fitted

I'm going to get 205's cos the 225's (nexen's) I have at the moment, the sidewalls move around too much when cornering.

I too will be running the new adrenalins on the trackday.. (getting fitted this weekend).. its been hard to choose between the toyo and these.. the toyo seems to be very well known for its soft sticky type handling but i can get the bridgestones at a better price and i like the idea of guinie piging something new, plus i dont think ill be doing more than three track days a year and i feel the potenza adrenlins will be a better street/ track tyre..

mate....you either buy fk451s again or you get worse grip...they are the best street tyres I've used. Yes they wear quickly but you have fun in the meantime.

Next best in the price range are probably the federal 595 but they still arent as good.

I just got a set of the fk451 in 245/45/17 for $250ea from tempe tyres for the stagea.

tempe still have 451's? you serious? man when i got mine mid-late last year they were being phased out for the 452 and almost noone had them.

Im only gonna replace the rears for now, what are the Potenza S03's??? And the Toyo T1R?

My car doesnt see the track but it gets alot of street use.

Ive got Nexan 3000 on all four wheels.

front are 225/40/18 rear are 245/40/18

ive found they are very quiet and are quite grippy whether it be dry or on the wet.

i like em'!

Dont take this the wrong way, but they are rubbish tyres that are used for compliance and by cardyards because they are dirt cheap. If you like them you need to try something decent to redefine your standards.
