Hey all. I just bought received my new rear strut brace for my r32 gtst and to tell u the truth is it just a straight bolt on job? take out the rubber cap, unbolt the nuts, put strut brace on top and bolt it back on?

Got a mental image of removing the nuts and the suspension screws will just drop through the holes ....

What will I have to take note of when doing this? do it on a fairly flat ground?

Thanks for any help before i start installing it and wrecking the whole thing up.

cheers

patrick

that's the way. the bolts wont fall through when you take the nuts off. just remove all the trim that's in your way, undo the nuts, put strut brace on, put nuts back. you may need to trim your boot lining a little too.

the suspension will drop through when you remove the nuts.....if the car is off the ground! you dont need to jack the car up so there will be weight on the components, which will hold them in the same place as if they were secured.

undo the 2 nuts on top of the strut, dont touch the middle one. put the struty on, put the nuts back on. do them up tight.

make sure its on flat level ground.

its that simple.

cheers
