my boost is bouncing until i hit high revs

hey guys i have a r33 s2 gts-t it has pod filter,bov,3.5''exhaust,high flow cat,blitz boost controller i always use standard boost but when i use .8 bar the boost gauge bounces from .6 to .8 until it hits about 6000 rmp's now the mechanic that put the boost controller in an dyno it said it just needs a new computer is that all or what ?

Is the car shaking voilently when this happens? is there is lot of whistling and popping coming from the turbo?

Sounds like it could be comp surge, but without more info on your turbo i have no idea

yeah the car surges a far bit until it hits high revs an the boost levels out theres a fare bit of noise but it could be the filter

Has it got a stock turbo or a "highflow" turbo

the bov is really loose would this have anything to do with it

The symptoms you describe are very common with R33's b/c of thei ageing coil packs.

This issue has been covered to death, search for coil packs, misfire, hessitation
