Stepper Motor issues? Anyone else?

My stepper motor(little electric motor just next to the clutch pedal) which moves a leaver which in turn moves a flap in the heater box which adjusts hot air is playing up.

Just wondering how common this is?

Problem when I pulled it appart all the little gear wheels are good and the motor works.

So it could be something else.

Autoelec will check it ou on the weekend.
