Hi,

Does anyone have a picture of a bosch 040 pump in an R33GTS-T cradle?

A friend of mine has his car in the workshop and they have called him to say that the 040 wont fit and he needs to have a surge tank installed.

I want to go down there with a picture and tell them what to do, i have already printed out the DIY guide someone posted up for a different bosch pump.

Thanks,

Jono.

I got a 040 in my R33 GTST. Dont have any pics, but mine is stuck on to the cradle using cable ties, and practically the bottom section, where the old pump sits upon, is cut off so I can have the pump in there... The pump wont pick up some of the fuel on the bottom bottom of the tank, however you can pretty much run it down to the light, ie about 300-320km per tank.

Hope this helps :P

Hi there,

If you do the job properly you should have no low fuel problems - the 044 pictured we installed in my r33 and I get well over 500k's to a tank.

Have a look, there's plenty of threads about this and a 044 install guide in the diy section.

Bugger of a job though.

Why not just put it inline? You won't need a surge tank unless you go racing.
