Hi guys I have an r32 skyline and lately it has been playing up.

The main problems are:

High idle about 1400rpm (idle screw all way in)

Turns itself off

Sometimes wont let you rev above 2500rpm sounds like it is on the rev limiter (happening more and more)

While that is happening the idle goes up and down between 1000 and 2200rpm continuously

I have tried

Different computer

Different AFM

Crank angle censor

Has anyone got any ideas on what it could be your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

please read my post in the gen section about idle problem I fixed my IAC last night and it cleared up my idle problems give that a go plus clean the aac thing as well do a search jobs not hard just take it slow to make sure you dont break anything good luck

It's more than likely that your problems are not the result of a single fault.

The fast idle could be caused by a faulty air regulator.

The stalling sounds like a problem I had that turned out to be a dry connection inside the AFM but as you've tried a different one it maybe the AFM plug or wiring.

The 2500 rpm limit sounds like it's going into limp mode so the ECU could be lacking input from a major sensor

Have you done a diagnostic on the ECU to check for fault codes.
