I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!

i just got one of these last nite, and all i have to say is awesome!

holds boost and it comes on so much harder than it did. boost doesnt trail off like my old GFB one did!

People i'm having a problem with my boost controller i brought from Mark.

i love this product it can not be beaten for bang for bucks.

but rercently it was boosting hard until about 3.5 grand then seems to be restricted.

at first i thought it was just me but gradually it got worse until the last few days were i would put my foot down it would pull hard till 3.5 grand then pretty much nothing.

though it maybe something else but last night i removed the boost controller now the car is running fine ???

any ideas people sure i had installed it correctly.

maybe the spring was getting stuck ??

maybe that was the case to start with but before i removed it, it would hit 3 to 3.5 and would stuggle to get to 4 grand. up until 3 grand car felt fine.

hmmmmm around 10psi, how are you measuring it, please dont say the stock gauge........?

Ive emailed mark, sent him payment, but he hasnt replied to me about if he has received payment or anything, he has only sent me with one email about his payment details and since then nothing, ive sent 3 emails already and a PM... Not liking this service too much...

yes. i know what you mean. sent email requesting payment details (wanted to purchase with SAU discount) waited a week. then i thought fu k it. will just get it off ebay, seeing as most ppl are saying service is mega fast etc etc. paid on ebay, accidently did bank transfer instead of credit card, two days later... not received one email from him. emailed him twice to confirm that hes got a payment pending, took 3 days to reply. the funds cleared the day after he replied. emailed him once the day it cleared, and another the day after, now its been 3 days since funds have cleared. no email, no ebay message. ffs!!! if you dont have time for this, then maybe you shouldnt have so many "buyitnow" items listed on ebay!!!!!!! if he checked emails/ebay/paypal say once a day...i would have received the thing by now!!!! now im not even sure if its been shipped off or anything. but i doubt it since theres no replies to email.....arhhh....FFS!!

I'd more likely think that it was related to something else, unless you can clearly see that it is dropping boost on the gauge. Could be any number of other issues such as fuel supply.

I paid then just like you was worried after about 2weeks, then the day after 2weeks I got it.

What are you expecting for $35, constant satelite tracking with a 20 man armed guard escort, delivered by Delta force commandos in silent running blackhawks.

FFS this guy has a life that does not revolve around YOU. He has a wife and kids and other much more important responcabilities so stop acting like my 8yo daughter does when she cant have a lolly at the checkout.

If you had bother to actually read a bit of this thread you would've seen that some guys waited up to three weeks for theirs to be delivered.

He makes these in his spare time, and it is not his full time job, and other things happen like suppliers not being able to supply parts need for production, so calm down and wait.

i am not acting like your 8 year old daughter!!! and i never said his life revolves around me. and how would you know if i read the thread or not? mate, if i didnt read the thread, i wouldnt of known about ppl saying how they got it the next day. i also wouldnt have known about the delay alot of people are expirencing, but judging by his recent postive feedbacks on ebay, i thought he was doing a fast job again.

im not worried about it not being delivered, or him ripping us off or anything (its only $42, its just very annoying not having any feedback. just as HiaTuS. said, an note/pm/email saying hes busy atm or suppliers would be great. and im sure alot if not everyone would understand if they got something like that.

this has all been bit ched about and quoteed and post whor ed in many pages, ppl saying its bad service then others saying shut up etc etc etc... in the end, its listed on ebay as buy it now, u pay, u dont even get a response so wtf?... it doesnt matter how cheap or expensive it is, the service is just very annoying and not up to standard. he's used this link to promote his product as there are many positive comments, i dont see how it is bad to give your opinions and exiprence with his service.

edit: by the way, just so you know before you start bit ching back again, in the one email i got from him, he's said "i'll post it off as soon as payment has cleared" mate to me that sounds like the product is already made. all he had to do is check his paypal/ebay/bank account... but no its not happened yet.

the fact he makes them himself is irelivent, if you are taking peoples money for a product you are running a buisness, if so you need to act professionaly and not piss off for 2 weeks, then when people get a little qustionable as to were there money is, tell them how you have a life and you dont give a rats ass,

i have had an issue with the turbotech which caused insane overboosting due to the failure of it, i dont want to go into it here, but i would have thought within 3 weeks i would have got a return to my pm

I have my controller hooked up to the bottom port and the top port is not connected to anything.

Went for first test drive the other day and the controller definitely didn't open the wastegate. I set boost cut in my ecu at 20psi and it hit boost cut.

I have a 15psi spring in my 50mm trust wastegate. I was expecting 16psi or so.

I have installed it per the instructions. I will post a pic showing how it is installed. Which way do people have the adjusting part facing?

I have mine so that the line going to the wastegate comes out and connects to the controller. You look along the controller and the adjustment part is at the end of that.

thats how i installed mine exept to the top of my wastegate with no results at all...?

mark has also not responded to my posts about recieving an exchange on a faulty product.

I am 99% sure it is supposed to be to the bottom port. If you feed pressure to the top port then it acts against the pressure from the bottom port.

As this is still a bleed type system then pressure should be blead off the bottom port.

If someone has one of these working on an external gate setup, please let me know.

I installed mine today in a mates car for testing and at first it just boosted full pelt until we closed the throttle, pulled it apart and found the spring was jammed inside it, used a long thin piece of metal to un-jam it. got it working very easily after that, recommend this to anyone as a good cheap boost controller but be aware that the adjustments are very tiny
