the V2 being a duel level controller, i asume that it is realistically not the choice for a car which will only ever be on one boost setting?

the V2 is a single level manual boost controller.

you are talking about the optional add-on that is also on his ebay page. i wouldnt bother with the 2 stage.

If you're too tight to buy one of these bleed valves you probably shouldn't own a car :P

+1 to this haha

If your to tight to even spend $100 on a good quality bleed valve you shouldn't own a skyline.

I went from a bleed valve to an electronic controller.

No other changes to the car and it transformed the car boost came on earlier and held better.

Car felt totally different to drive

Even though it apparently has better internals? Would it be beneficial to get the v2 and use it on one setting all the time, their almost the same price.

dude, i think you're confusing it with the add-on two stage solenoid kit. forget that kit. you dont need it.

the V2 is a single stage boost controller. you set one boost level and leave it. as far as mbc's go, it's a very good one. way better than a bleed valve.

i bought the v2 because it was on special a few months back

i was hoping to use the stock solenoid to create a dual setting, it didn't work and just holds 10psi all the time

it goes pretty well now :)

Hi Guys

I can't believe this thread keeps coming alive again! The support from SAU has just been amazing.

Yeah the V2 has been growing in popularity and there is over 200 of them out there now! Actually, yesterday we sent a V2 to Montenegro near Serbia of all places! And we have even posted to Swaziland in Africa!

I was think of retiring the Original but it keeps selling.

We can do a SAU discount if not purchased on ebay because of the fees etc. But you can email us directly at [email protected] or check us out directly at www.turbotechperformance.com.au maybe even follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

Cheers

    • I know you don't want to hear this comment, but I can't not say it.  I just can't see 200kw being worth the time and effort. Its like guys with NA cars, putting in headers/exhaust/tune for a massive 20% jump in power. Great, the slow car is still slow and you're down $10,000.  My vote is leave it NA or price in a gearbox upgrade and shoot for at least 300KW, preferably 350KW+.  Now you have a NC that will try to kill you from time to time and will be exciting to drive
    • Ah yep. The main message I want to pass on is, try not to get scared of ghosts when thinking about knock/knock detection.  What I mean is, healthy engines make noise. Knock is also noise. Your knock sensor and ECU combo are trying to determine bad noise from good noise based on how loud the noise is. The factory knock sensors and ECU are not good at doing this.  Modern ECU's are pretty decent at it, however I'd still say that you would want to verify that if your ECU says it's knock, that you actually listen to it and confirm that it is correct.  Are you familiar with the plex knock monitor?  https://www.plex-tuning.com/products/plex-knock-monitor-v3/ I expect you're the type of person that would be very keen to play with something like this. It is great knock detection and you can pop some headphones on and listen to what's going on.  Knock that you've deliberately induced in low load low RPM areas is not really putting anything at risk and is a great tuning/learning/verification tool.  I just thought this was worth mentioning based on the way you were talking about setting up a base map and the Haltech base map settings. There are better ways to spend your time then chasing ghosts and worrying about detonation in scenarios that it is crazy unlikely to encounter it.  I was also wondering, what ECU are you planning to get? Will it be long til you pick it up?
