Hey guys,

I'm teaching my gf how to drive (no not in the cefiro) and I'd like to know where I can take her. She's a fast learner but she's not ready for the street, car parks are fine but they need to be big and the one right near our house happens to be rugby night on Frinite

My question is around the Northern Beaches/North Shore/City does anyone know of a big stretch of quiet car park you can actually get into 2nd gear and upto about 40km for a while without having to worry about crashing if someone is a total newb?

Warringah Mall rooftop carpark is a bit scary cos it still has poles and stuff.

Thanks guys :aroused:

don't do it bro. when i was about 17 or 18 I tried to teach my GF how to drive in a manual daihatsu. I took here down to the willoughby leisure centre where there are netball courts and carparks etc. scary sh1t.

beaumont road in Mt Kurin-gai (sp?)

its an industrial area...pretty quiet on the weekend and nights with exception of the other learners...its really where everyone goes when they have never driven before

Thanks guys I'll check it out.

And yeah my gf is pretty quick she got clutching down first go and didn't stall till about 30 mins. But it's still scary/funny. I've already saved my car from being plowed into the wall - she got her confidence up and decided she could try to get out of the carpark to the road... so ... Yeah a bit too close to the wall for my liking.. ahh thank god for the handbrake. lol shes so cute :aroused:

That's the motivation for big wide open spaces.

Willoughby leisure centre there's memories!! I recall the upper carpark is nice n open but frinite might be cars and people there.

I'll checkout beaumont road on the map to see where it is thanks Liz.

Any more suggestions?

OK mate Macquarie Uni has a huge carpark to practice on though I havent been there for a long time. Behind the gym there are 2 prety big carparks, one directly behind it is pretty big and another further up which is bigger.

Is that open at night on fridays? That'd be a good idea I think.

Take her to oran park.... the small drift track, in ur cefiro... im sure she will do just fine.

:uhh:

Cause your on the beaches go to Palmbeach on the North side. There is plenty of quite driving to be had in the carpark there and down by the golf course..

Also some other good ones are. Westhead, Nice long drive.

And the warriewood square carpark is good on any night pretty much..
