How much boost? Stock GTT, GCG highflow.

Auto,

Unopened motor,

480cc Nismo injectors,

biggish fmic,

biggish fuel pump,

GCG high flow turbo,

full exhaust including split dump.

I saw 234rwkw the other day with some tuning issues still to be sorted and this was at under 13 psi.

I want to run 1 to 1.1 bar but tuner is telling me to get a thicker head gasket.

Do I need it?

I'm planning to run about 18psi with an unopened engine and similar mods listed above + ecu.

imho not needed for those boost levels...i have been running mine at 1 Bar for close to 3 years now with no issues, similar mods (-inj) and slightly less power. good work on the power good to see an auto getting up there!

This is a motor that doesnt have any internally upgraded/aftermarket or revamped/new parts installed in the engine.

Every part is like it was when it came from the showroom floor etc...

Ran 21.5psi on mine with a 1.6mm HG which didn't affect off-boost driving that I could notice. I'd definately change it if you're going past 1bar in the future.

The Tuning issues, was it a hesistation in the 4500-5500rpm range at all?

Nope, pinging mid range rpm.

I think I will just tell them I 'm going to wind it up and see what comes out.

Nope, pinging mid range rpm. I think I will just tell them I 'm going to wind it up and see what comes out.

What are you using to tune it?

Be carefull, mid range detonation is VERY dangerous, should be avoided at all costs. Too much ignition advance is the usual suspect. And that is hard to overcome with an SAFC (or DFA) without sacrificing (running rich) on the the A/F ratios.

PS: did I mention to be VERY VERY carefull?
