Could you explain why it cannot be done if you have an immobilizer? what must be done different to get it to work?

I just got my Greddy turbo timer......but waz unsure where to get it installed as i have an immobliser (so cant DIY).......i know car toys can do it 4 $95 but dat seems pretti expensive..........do u guys know any1 who could do it 4 a better price.......

                                                                                                          Cheers

Will do it for $45 live in the hills. just out of interest what sort of Immobiliser is it and is it a basic t timer or one with Rpm and 0 - 400 time etc.

If youve got an Immob you have to wire the timer up so that the car still runs when armed but when timer cuts out can't be started.

care to explain how I can do it? as I recently had a alarm installed and now my basic turbo timer no longer works presumably due to the imobilizer?

I'm planning on hooking up a Greddy full auto turbo timer soon.

i think you would need to hook up a relay or two?

whe the turbo timer is running the relay would cut points of the imobiliser once the turbo timer cuts the engin the relay will connect the imobiliser points...

this might make it easyer for somone to find the imobiliser wires and knock off the car though....

If it works ill post up what i did if you like.

Adam.

Hi Adam,

That would be great, as I'd like to get my TT working again .. Its annoying that I have to drive like a sissy for a few k's to cool down the turbo now .. :P

Its easy enough to put the tt in with an immobiliser you just have to hook it up to the ignition after the cut for the immob. this way the can can still run but only on tt hope this makes sense. Also if your alarm has a ignition sense you should wire it to accesories so that you can arm the system while the tt is in.

I was actually thinking that too, but thanks for advising ..

I will give it a go on the weekend.
