As far as im aware, injectors are a must as it helps the fuel flow better, a few people have done it without them, but then realised once starting to come on boost they run out of go and they end up swapping to the rb25det injectors, there is a few threads on the board about it, 666DAN did it go to his thread and see what he has to say about it.. they're not to expencive anyway

Hope this helped.

u need ecu, or get urs remapped, injectors, fuel pump, its better to buy a half cut as it has everything, but if you dont want to do that, you can get a rb25det block and fit your NA head on, or buy the two seperately, either way you will need bigger injectors. It is better to have proper DET parts, as the compression is lower and you will have the oil squirters in the block.

Another way that you can do it is turbo you NA motor, it is possible, but the max boost you can run is 6psi and the motor is very torque as boost comes in at 2500rpm.

If you have any other questions let me know, i am able to tell you the parts you may need depending on which way you want to go.

cheers

I have all ready brought a heap of parts so i wont be buying an 1/2 cut.

I have:

*Exhast Manifold + Turbo (no lines) + Dump + Frontpipe

*Stock intercooler with piping ()

..a few picutes might help me with the assembly :)

*GTST ECU

So do i just need injectors/ turbo oil and water line now?

Ive been suggest - replacing the head gasket with a thicker one to lower compression... reckon its a good idea?

brand name ones are available from japan but there super expensive, ive got a number for a place in melbourne that does the very cheap ill try track it down for you.

Sweet thanks NA_R33... i reckon! an 1.6mm HKS $632, 2mm HKS $690.. Looks like i will be sticking to high compression / low boost :P

Keep the high compression!!!!111!11one!

VW are running some very respectable boost in the new GTi...with 10.8:1 compression...like me you'd have 10:1

Now I've got the front mount on it feels like I could easily throw a few more psi into the engine with no issues.

High compression is your friend ;)

also you do realize you will need someone to bore holes in your block/sump etc etc for the oil/water lines to/from the turbo....

yeah i know. ... and its gonna cost $$$!! to do so.

Any idea what the stock RB25DE injectors CC value, there smaller but by how much??

"RB25 uses side feed high impedance injectors 370cc"

"N/A engines I have not included these but are generally smaller"
