I'm also curious about what car it is. If it were a conversion I can understand that you'd be peeved at not having the bigger brakes, thicker drive shafts etc. (unless these have been changed), but the difference is pretty minimal in the end. If you're talking about say a Holden Walkinshaw replica as opposed to a real one or on an even greater scale a Ford GT40 replica instead of a real one, then I can understand that a lot of money would be involved. If the difference is just 2K, then I'd just try and get 1K back and cut your losses.
