Bosch 040 into a r32 gtr

Went to install a bosch 040 into a mate r32 GTR on the weekend and we had a bit of trouble trying to mount it, as the standard pump actually lies on its side in a semi enclosed plastic container on the bottom of the fuel tank. If anyone has any photos or advice on how to fit one of these pumps into a 32 GTR then that would be great!!! Thanks in advance

I have done a search, but I couldn't come up with what I was after. i'm pretty sure the post you are talking about was for a GTST anyway, which has a totally different pump assembly!!

there is no point in anyone fitting an 040 into a GTR unless the original pump is stuffed as they are practically almost the same.

this is not recommended as an upgrade, save a few more $$ an get an 044 and external tank if you are wanting to updrade your fuel system in a GTR.

Or, fit an 044 intank, it might be a bit more dificult, but it saves having a surge tank/ fuel smell in car/ begging for a ticket type of thing. Also will provide more than enough juice for anything sane.
