Tonite when I was driving I stopped at a light and then when I started to accelerate again I felt a major loss of power in the mid to top end.

I accelerated again and when I looked at the boost gauge I noticed instead of 1.05 bar which it normally reads on full boost it noly had 0.5/0.6 bar. I had driven the car probably 60km or so today and didn't have the problem at all before that.

Anyway I pulled over, checked the hoses going to the solenoid and also to the boost gauge - nothing was wrong. I turned the car off and turned it on again and then the problem was gone.

This is the first time its ever happened... any ideas??

Hi There,

Not too sure if this is the same problem as what I had..

I had a bleed valve system (two bleed valves) running around 8.5 psi (some times I put it up to 10psi).

It has been in there for well over a year and never had any spiking or problems.

Until one day after a drive (30K's or so) after sitting at lights took off (foot flat) and as soon as the boost started climbing all power would just stop... like the speed limiter stoping petrol going in...

Only did it when boosting, I could do light acceleration but as soon as I floored it, a massive jolt woulld happen cause the engine cut out...

Anyonw know what that is?

I turned the boost down slightly to 8 and it was fine (ohh boost gauge is accurate... checked).

I have also noticed recently at 8 psi and about 4500 rpm on wards the boost feels a little jerky like not smooth.. (never done that before until after the power loss).

cheers

Rob

ps. mods - air filter, fmic & boost everything else is stock.
