compression test and dyno tune

anyone know what the purpose of a compression test(what info does it show) and for dyno tune beside showing hp what other info does it show and do i need to dyno tune often

A compression test, tests the amount of compression the pistons are holding. For example a car with worn piston rings will leak pressure built up from the compression effect the vehicle has while the engine is turned on. Dyno tunes show hp and the lean/rich ratio of the car. I believe it shows a couple of other things other than depending on the type of dyno, but I am not entirely sure because I've never done one before.
