exhaust bolts

i can hear something rattling around in my exhaust/cat.. so anyway i tried to unbolt where my cat meets the exhaust.. one bolt came of relatively easily, whereas the second one wont budge.. ive tried soaking it in WD40, small ring spanners, large ring spanners, large shifters.. basically the longest items i can use while having the car jacked up (which is only about 8"..)

any other suggestions on how to get this lovely bolt off, short of taking it to an exhaust place? its not that big an issue that i want to spend money on it, thus trying to do it myself

just keep trying dude, i had the same prob a few weeks ago, bolt was rusted as anything took me and my mate 3 hours just to take the exhaust off. sprayed the crap out of it with wd40 and just forced the ****er off

ya, its got a good coating of ED40 on it.. the main problem is not being able to get the car up enough to get a decent sized spanner onto it.. might steal my house mates jack

If worst comes to worst saw the nut off on one end and use a pin punch and hammer to hit it through.

heh got it off, brute force and WD40 save the day!

now to attend to my crumbling cat...
