Ok i have been reading the treads on tolulene and i want some.

Apparently there are two or more grades of tolulene avaliable, one costs about $50 for 20L. I was wondering what the other grades cost and do they do any damage to the engine?

ANd where can u buy them?

Im about to do a long country trip where only unleaded is avaliable, maybe even premium unleaded, what percentages do i mix either of the grades of tolulene at?

Cheers

Karl

Makit hardware in erindale rd balcatta. next to marlows. 1L and 4L containers. Pay upto $23 for 4L.

Otherwise contact BP, not the service station.

There is only one toluene availible, its either pure toluene(which you want) or its glue remover (which you don't want).

I bought mine from shell here in adelaide for $47 for 20L. If you buy it as a solvent you pay this price BUT if you ask for it as a fuel additive you pay about $80. Ring your nearest distributer and c how you go. You Will be happy with the results:D

yep, depends how much you car puts out to start with. Mine has 166 then with the toluene it has 166. JUST dont get it on the paint work. I put some on an old strees sign and there was no paint in about 20 minutes.

Any of the bottle octane boosters will cause a coating on your spark-plugs, but I'm pretty certain that Toluene will not effect the cat or O2-sensor. I can run a full race fuel like VP (107RON) and it won't affect them so I don't see why Toluene would.

I wouldn't suggest using the stuff all of the time, cause its expensive, and most of the time unecessary. Use it for drags/racing or very hot days.

See'ya:burnout:

No Matter What anybody Says.

You can not buy pure tolulene Anywhere.

Tolulene is the Most unstable solvent on the face of this planet.

The only way you can get it is to work in a oil Refinery.

But it is good for your car. It cleans your engine

mate, this thread is 6 years old. I know it's your first post on the board. but things have changed in 6 years. kindly try and limit your posts to threads that are current.
