RB20 timing

How do the cars come from the factory, timing wise?

I was speaking to a guy the other day at a workshop in Perth, and he said that the RB20s are retarded a fair bit from factory, and if you advance the timing you can get a fair whack of extra power from it.

Does this sound right?

Sounds pretty spot on to me, you'll probably find around 15-20 base timing works well... I have a chip for your ECU that has a very aggressive timing map which runs a base of 20 degrees.

This map would make a very economical upgrade for you
