I got a boost issue at the moment. I got an Apexi avcr which is boosting about 0.75 bar. I cant get it to go any higher even though I change the boost setting to 1.0 bar the car is only still only boosting 0.75. Could the adjustable actuators on my turbo's be causing the boost to stay at that boost setting (0.75bar)?

cheers

Can the AVCR be run in manual mode with boost set by playing with the ratio and gain settings the same as a Blitz iD or DSBC?

It could be worth while to see if you can acheive more that way.

I've check earthing wire to the ecu and that looks fine. Could be a plumbing issue?

The boost controller can "self learn" which is easier but yes you can set boost according to rpm, gears etc... takes a bit of setting up I'd imagine

  • 4 weeks later...

anyone one know a good setting duty cycle for 1.2 bar .....and what duty cycle would it be? has anyone out there hav the similiar settings and as the revs go up the boost maintains its levels??

my stock actuator is 0.80 bar (hks turbo and adjustable actuator)

e.g. i want ..

boost / duty cycle

setting B to be 1.2bar / ???? <--- anyone know a good maintained setting?

also what does it mean ....

if the actuator release vavle (exhaust housing) is open ??? closed ???

open = releasing boost pressure

closed = builing up boost pressure ??

or is it the vice versa ???

pls help!

did you take out the stock pipe that goes to the wastegate (or something around that area..) it has a restrictor thingy in it.

Its the pipe that connects to the big plastic intake pipe, and the other end connects to a T, and then goes off to the controller..

I kinda had the sam problem as you i think.. with my bleed valve, the boost wouldnt change whatever i did.. took out the pipe with the restrictor and off she went.
