Hi,

I've got a 1996 R33 SII GTST sedan and was wondering if my car should have remote central locking? (I've got central locking)

On the original key itself (Nissan badged), it has a button which I would assume is for the remote central locking however it has not worked from day one.

If it is the case that I do have remote central locking but is just not working, what would it require to get it working again? When the key is inserted and turned, it does feel like there is a motor that drives the locking/helps turn the key.

Any ideas would be great.

Steve

you probably need new battery in that factory key. otherwise the remote central locking relay could be stuffed, or has been disconnected during compliance. not sure about this but if the compliancer feels it doesn't fulfill ADR requirements, it would have been disconnected.

s2 had it. IF you can find a later one they are the same key as the patrol. failing that get an aftermarket module added in. I usually do this to these cars anyway. fire me a PM if you want help.
