Steel Wool silencer?

hey guys, im goin to get my car rego'd tm n to make it less conspicious, i wanna dampen the sound of my exhaust.... neone know the steel wool trick? any help would be appreciated on how to muzzle sound

apprantly it quitens the sound but my mate had a hard time taking is back out or something, as it thend to fall apart etc

it would probably only last 10 mins or so i think, and less if ur gonan rev it hard, pack it in tightly and get the sound check then just give it a bit of a rev and it should blow her all out after a while? they used to use that trick on the old Group G rally cars to get the sound down for scrutineering...

haha cool thankz, i was thinking of tieing it down behind a silencer.... hehe but i guess id only b tightening up my rides arsehole... like constapation i guess...... =
