so who plays minesweeper?... I've been playing for quite a while and it's the most addictive little game in the world once you get the hang of it. Would be interested to see other peoples times...

mine are:

Begginer:7 seconds..

Intermediate:44 seconds

Expert:100 seconds

it's becoming a habbit.. whenever im using 56k ill open up and a do a quick game while I'm waiting.. it becomes the ultimate procrastination technique :P, those who play it will know what I'm talking about...

I told ya it was addictive!!!! ahaha, well say you click on a square and it says one. That means in the surrounding 8 squares, 1 of them is a mine. So usually, with the process of elimination you can mark out exactly where mines are with the right click and solve it.

elbee111: If you wanna improve your expert times,... say you have a 2.. mark in the two mines that you know of.. then put your mouse over the number 2, then press both the mouse buttons together, it opens up all the remaining squares around the 2.. which saves you having to click them open individually :(

ZigenGT: thats nice!!.. One of my mates has a 3 second record as well.. but I think the problem with begginer is that you need luck to improve your times.. like if the first square you click on opens up the entire thing but nice none the less!

hmm i should probably work on my begginer times... I've heard of kid at school getting a 90something as well for expert but I don't know for sure.. The same friend I spoke about before with the 3 second beginner has a high 90's score for expert as well.. Damn.

This talk blows me away as I play minesweeper at least a few times a week.

My best is 238 secs for expert. I would have assumed that I could proudly display this for the world to see.

Now less than 100 is WTF! material to me.

How many random clicks does one do to get in this ballpark ? I normally click 6 random squares before settling into the game proper.

yeah 6 random squares sounds about right to me.. try to start at the top bottom or sides... stay away from the corners when you start. In other news I have a new smashing record for my intermediate time... 26seconds !!! YES!!!.. now I have to get a better begginer time of 4 seconds or less to beat a collective time of under 130 seconds..

I always mark the mines now out of habbit.. but i find it useful when your up to the last 5 and you have to guess, but if you know exactly how many mines are left then you don't have to guess.

the both buttons technique is thing I tried to explain before, it brought my times down like a sack of potatoes
