PFC Boost controller question

Does it matter if the pressure sensor for PFC boost controller reads from the manifold or not?????? It would be much easier for me to "t" piece it into one of the hoses that comes from one of the intercooler pipes but obviously then it wont read any vacum, only boost.

I always plumb it into the manifold, where the standard boost gauge goes is a useful spot:cheers:
