if evidence is ignored, that means guilty or not your going to jail, personally..I reckon those judges should be hung.. I wonder how many other innocent people have been put in jail or even sentenced to death through the years.

Why would the judges want to sentence inncoent people to death? Because they're corrupt and against all Australians? LoL You're funny. It's really interesting how randoms make unsubstantiated comments, with little or no understanding of the operation of various legal systems.

BTW, I think you mean that they should be 'hanged' not 'hung.' :headspin:

um wheres your substaciated evidence that she's guilty. your argument is no better constructed.

As per Indonesian and Australian laws, you get caught trafficking narcotics internationally and its a case of guilty until proven innocent.

Wheres your evidence that shes innocent? All I have seen and heard is her self proclaiming her innocence, a few people said its *possible* it was planted by bagge handlers (but hell everythings possible, its possible I could be the richest man in the world by end of the year), and a convicted Australian who thinks he overheard some guys talking about planting drugs.

Evidence shes guilty... she was busted with 4kg of marajuana on her.

I know which side wins in the physical evidence side of things...

What physical evidence? None of the evidence is submitable to court. The marajuana was handled by indo authorities without gloves as was the bag and every other scrap of evidence...

Something about the case being laughed out of court here in Aus...

Now youre comparing it back to Australian rules... shes in Idonesia, she plays by Indonesian rules, as does everyone who travels there. And in Indonesia, the physical evidence, being the man handled bag of wacky tobacky was submitted and accepted.

Dont like the 1% chance of this ever happening to you? Dont travel internationally.

Im still yet to see any evidence to support her claims of innocence, besides her crying shes innocent, the *possibility* of it being planted at an airport and that a man in jail *possibly* overheard a conversation about planting drugs at airports.

When they can prove one of the above did happen, let her go... until then shes fu(ked and in my mind how rightly she should be as well.

Its also just my personal opinion she looks like a bit of a bong head.

Yeah I've heard this argument a thousand times "She's in Indo so she plays by there rules"

So what does that mean? When we go over there we can be jailed or killed without a scrap of evidence to prove our guilt? Whats the point of the judicial system then?

Oh and yes the evidnce is stacking up in her favour. Especially when there are several baggage handlers being charged at the moment who were on duty the same day that she travelled! It isnt EVIDENCE as such but like I said before its REASONABLE DOUBT.

I could go on with this argument forever but i'm tired of going over it.

Anyone hear where she is being held? Within earshot of the Bali Bomber. Apparently he's had a few things to say already...

Its a BEAUTIFUL world...

Isnt it?

She was caught with 4kg of weed in her luggage... in Indonesia its a case of guilty until proven innocent for trafficking, exactly the same as it is in Australia!! You get caught trafficking in either country, you're automatically guilty. The scrap of evidence was 4kg of weed in HER luggage. The onus is on her to prove its not hers, not the governments to prove it is. The rules for trafficking are exactly the same in Australia. If she had been caught bringing 4kg into Australia shed be in the same pickle she is now if she couldnt prove it wasnt hers. Granted, Australian judges wouldve laughed it out of court if it was handled the same way as it was in Indonesia, but as youve probably noticed, australian judges dont really have much say in how the Indo legal system works.

You dont need to go over it again... I dont want you to go over it again. Im simply stating, in my opinion, theres been sweet fu(k all to show she is innocent. As for reasonable doubt, the baggage handlers who were charged were done so for domestic trafficking, which once again IN MY OPINION slaps down the reasonable doubt comments, as domestic terminals and staff are different to international terminals and staff.

I still think shes guilty, and she can have a tea party with the bali bombers for all I care... she fu(ked up, and now shes paying the price.

No we dont. If you are caught trafficking narcotics into Australia, it is guilty until proven innocent.

Under Australian law I'm pretty sure all crimes are innocent until proven guilty. I'd like to see which act this is in, unless its international law.

How does one look like a "bong head"? I'd like to know, even if she smoked pot all day every day at home it does NOT mean that:

A: She could get 4.1 kgs of the stuff

B: She'd want to take it overseas

C: She is a dealer

People who smoke pot are not usually the dealers oddly enough, they are the smokers...

Why import something into a market where its worth less than it is here??

If this case went to court in Australia after the physical evidence was handled like that - it'd be thrown out. A quick finger print / DNA would have sorted this out.

However its in a country that is known not to like Australia generally, with less technology in crime fighting. Also, Indonesia has had demorcracy for just under 50 years and its laws are still developing.

The law there dictates (from what I can gather) that someone should be punished for a crime - even if its not the right person.

Yeah like I said I could fight this argument all day long but the basics of the argument are:

You keep saying "She cant prove she didnt put it in her bag"

Well who's proven she did?

You also mentioned the Domestic V's International argument. Where did she first check in her bags? On a connecting flight: Domestic! That then turned international. Notably nobody sees there bags once they are checked in... And i'm sure its way to much effort for baggage handlers to have something transfered from one terminal to another...

Also in Breaking News: The Indonesian Constitution states that someone does not have to prove there innocence. An interesting wording when translated but the Judge clealry said in his finding that she did "not prove her innocence" interesting clash with the constitution there. Hopefully an avenue for appeal.

Slapped down the reasonable doubt? So in that statement you are saying that you have NO doubt she put the drugs in her bag and took them to Bali??? Well thats incredible given the circumstances.

My comment about the Bali Bomber was just FYI, he's sitting in there serving two years for killing all those young aussies and she's in there serving twenty. He has apparently been heading up the insults and racist commentary that Schapelle is currently dealing with. Just thought it was something nice to think about.

The people who built and carried out the bombing are all waiting for their death sentence to be carried out.

The "mastermind" of it all (being the spititual leader of J.I) is in jail for two years. The Indonesian government did try and ammend laws and slap him with a death penalty, but it went against their constitution.

But anyways, differing opinions... I personally dont believe Schapelle is as innocent as she claims to be, you do ;) If she gets out, im not going to complain, good on her.

ahhh yes young Jedi. But just like everyone else i've had this convo with you have taken my argument as "Corby is innocent". I dont know this at all! And am not in any position to make that call. However I know there is Reasonable Doubt that she did put those drugs in her bag. Hence I dont believe she should serve any time for it.

Anyway I agree what is the world without differing opinions. Theres no fun in everyone being the same.

Oh and sorry the young Jedi comment was only because I saw Ep3 the other day ;)

Well I'm not going in to whether I think Schapelle is guilty or not, as there has not been enough evidence either way to come up with a decent conclusion.

The dude who's doing two years for being accused of being the Bali Bombing Mastermind is just that - accused. That's why he's only doing two years and the others are getting the death penalty.

They haven't been able to prove completely that he was the mastermind yet. I'd say he's doing the two years so they can hold him somewhere secure in the hope they can gather enough evidence to properly convit him.

    • It only looks tidy, as most of the stuff that was on the whole back wall, is now in the trailer to go to the tip, or has been shoved in my 2.2x2.4m "Spare parts room", and now I can't get to anything in there Ha ha ha I could definitely do with a bit more space, but I'd just end up with your problems I'm going to enclose the car port beside the garage, and move a lot of stuff into it I think. OR... It will be setup as a fabrication area, and the main garage will have parts storage in it. I'm not sure yet... Need some pictures of that big shed you've got with the bikes and Skyline in
    • No. I think it's gone. 😭 I think you can get body coloured ones on eBay so I think I'll get one of those... Or just hang a red ribbon from the hole and whack a TOW sticker next to it.
    • Can't say I've had a bad experience with one on my car, then again it only gets washed once or twice a year... The wheels on the other hand, get a good spray often due to my shitty dusty pads.
    • @MBS206 thats pretty neat and tidy to me!  I'll get a photo of mine when I'm out there next. It might require multiple photos to understand the scale of the atrocities though... In total I have 4 sheds of varying sizes and layouts. Main shed is 14x8, second shed is 3x8, third shed is 11x2.5, fourth shed is around 6x4.  All are pretty much full.   The main goal of my cleaning tsunami is to make the main shed predominantly car and motorbikes only. Second shed is my metal fab room (2 x bench grinders, drill press, bench belt sander, metal band saw, scrap metal storage and some of my garden tools.  3rd shed is more bigger garden stuff, storage for engine crane, jack stands, concrete grinder, concrete mixer, air compressor lives there, and it now has two 2mx2m pallet racking shelves with itemised boxes holding building stuff, electrical stuff, plumbing stuff, etc, etc.  The 4th shed is Ryobi electric ride on mower, mini boom sprayer, ancient Kubota tractor, more garden stuff!  I have got a lot of shit....  Then there's the pool house (8mx4m) and the pool pump shed (4mx4m).  I built all of the sheds over the 11 years we've been here.  The main shed was a Ranbuild kit, the rest are all custom made to fit the areas available. Building the main shed taught me a LOT as I had no idea about building anything prior to that!  I've still got one more in me. It will be my man cave which I poured the extra concrete for way back when I poured the concrete for the main shed. The idea is the Skyline will be a centre piece of the main cave once (if...) it's finished.  I told my now 14 year old son yesterday that I will 100% drive him to his year 10 formal in 2 years. Still a long way off but at least I now have a date to work towards! 🤣
