R33 S2 Front Bar on an R33 S1?

I need a new front bar, and am wondering what are the differences between the two different series as far as fitting a front bar goes?

The series 2 bar will fit on a series 1 but doesn't line up around the headlights.

The headlights hang over the edge of the bar by about 20mm at the front and the bar hangs out about 20mm around the corner of the headlights/indicators. Everywhere else lines up fine.
