I thought we couldn't import 15 year old cars to Australia anymore, has the rules changed?

Apart from personal imports and cars imported for race/rally purposes, the new rules are:

- anything built prior to 1 January 1989 can be imported without restriction

- cars built from 1 January 1989 can be imported using the SEVS scheme (if compliance is available.......)
