Okay, maybe this is wasteland material, but I don't care, I want PERTH related shops pls...

What do chicks like for xmas, what did you get YOUR bitch... urr... i mean girlfriend/SO for christmas ? and where'd ya get it ?

I'm thinkin tacky stuff like

Jewelry

Perfume

Bathroom things.

No no's;

Shoes,

Clothes,

Cooking utensils,

Items that contain a tag saying "size" or "one size fits all"

ie anything that can denote weight/size/shape out of the norm

(ie. I buy a size 10 pants, and she goes "OMG! you think i'm that fat?" always a downer)

Ok Dude!

From what i have learnt in my 23 years of wisdom is girls like to feel sexy... sooooo maybe try the lingerie thing nothing too tacky like Gimp wear! but something nice and respectable! Bras and things always have nice stuff!

Just a suggestion thats all otherwise yeah the whole jewellery necklace perume thing aint bad either!

Oh last year for my gfriends bday i secretly told her 5 closest friends to come round her house as a surprise and dress up. I then hired her a limo and bought wine and champagne... so we cruised around me and 6 chicks getting drunk in a limo!! not only is this a good xmas or bday present for her but I mean c'mon does any guy object to being in a limo with 6 elegantly dressed girls?? It is a win/win situation if you ask me! lots of fun to!

My 2.2c

You only get in trouble if you try and help other ladies into the lingerie. I can't believe that they would get so upset, I was just trying to help.:bahaha:

hahaha we got this huge box and put my mate in it and wrapped it all up and drove it to his girlfriends house which was pretty funny and she loved it lol, dont expect you to do that but it could be an idea if your worried about the present you buy her not being appropriate, it would kinda distract her from a shit present lol

I know this thread aint much of a car thread but it does involve us being able to get a root from our girlfriends for buying them the right present:uh-huh: so if it involves me getting some and some of the other lads getting some then i think it might be in all our best interest to keep this thread.

I have been cornered lately by my gfriend asking me what i am going to get her and got slapped when i mentioned a threesome with another girl... i just dunno why she didn't like it i was only thinking of her!!:bahaha: seriosuly though i am really confused what to get her so this is why i think we should keep it!

P.S. R33 Cam that is the best ever Sig that I have seen! I am sick and tired of those 5 cent stickers on the back of rusty commodores saying only milk and juice comes in 2 litres..... AHAHAH cheap wine!!! ahahh!!

Hmm the datto boy does make a good point there:uh-huh:

Seeing as of the 12 odd posts so far we have actually come up with nothing apart from seedy comments and abuse. i think the cosmopolitan link might be a good idea if u were actually looking for something not just messing around.:)

    • Well, yeah, the RB26 is definitely that far off the mark. From a pure technology point of view it is closer to the engines of the 60s than it is to the engines of the last 10 years. There is absolutely nothing special about an RB26 that wasn't present in engines going all the way back to the 60s, except probably the four valve head. The bottom end is just bog standard Japanese stuff. The head is nothing special. Celicas in the 70s were the same thing, in 4cyl 2 valve form. The ITBs are nothing special when you consider that the same Celicas had twin Solexes on them, and so had throttle plates in the exact same place. There's no variable valve timing, no variable inlet manifold, which even other RBs had either before the 26 came out or shortly afterward. The ECU is pretty rude and crude. The only things it has going for it are that the physical structure was pretty bloody tough for a mass produced engine, the twin-turbos and ITBs made for a bit of uniqueness against the competition (and even Toyota were ahead on the twin turbs thing, weren't they?) and the electronic controls and measuring devices (ie, AFMs, CAS, etc) were good enough to make it run well. Oh, and it sounds better than almost anything else, ever. The VR38 is absolutely halfway between the RB generation and the current generation, so it definitely has a massive increase in the sophistication of the electronics, allowing for a lot more dynamic optimisation of mapping. Then there's things like metal treatments and other coatings on things, adoption of variable cam stuff, and a bunch of other little improvements that mean it has to be a better thing than the RB26. But I otherwise agree with you that it is approximately the same thing as a 26. But, skip forward another 10 years from that engine and then the things that I mentioned in previous post come out to play. High compression, massively sophisticated computers, direct injection, clever measuring sensors, etc etc. They are the real difference between trying to make big power with a 26 and trying to make big power with a S/B50/54 (or whatever the preferred BMW engine of the week is).
    • Is the RB26 actually that far off the mark? Honestly from where I'm sitting a VR38DETT is not actually that much more advanced than the RB26. Yes, there is a scavenge pump on the VR38, it's smarter in a number of ways but it's not actually jumping out to me as alien technology. Something like a B58 or V35A-FTS on the other hand has so many surprising little design features that add up to be something that just isn't comparable.
