hint: when you DO buy a bov, try to stay away from a blitz... pain in the ass they are...

I've heard good thing about the GFB loud one too :(

Can't go past an Apexi white face (but the price is outrageous) So i just went and bought a generic brand under $100.

Sorry I cant help with finding the parts tho :)

IMACUL8,

Have you ever put a BOV on a WRX before, the car tends to shit itself and stall all of the time. It takes a while for the computer to learn that it has added something new and can take days of driving before it starts to act normally. Just some advice, as many mates WRX's have behaved in that way.

See'ya:burnout:

ppl mite say that autometer guages are only for the V8 boys but thats what i have, Phantom series, which are white faced, and in a twin pod on the pillar, but i specially modified them to have blue LED's, just for the rice factor, hehe, but they havent given me any hassles at all, and for the price they are, i think i'd recomend them. :D

i have a GFB BOV on my car, im not sure which one it is, but its purple non plumback type with a trumpet on the side, sounds ok i rekon.

Ive just bought a TurboXs Type H BOV for my R32 GTSt and i must say its a massive improvement on the stock one (which sounds simply AWFUL when recircing through the air filter, a common problem on 32's).

TurboXs do mounting kits for most common imports including my 32 so install is about a 10 minute job. As far as sound goes, i wasnt looking for anything loud (the stock one is in fact noisier than the TurboXs which vents to atmosphere), its a good noise, quite loud when driven hard, very understated when you want it to be. Adjustment is made via washers placed behind the spring (agricultural to say the least but effective).

Cost me $365 from Speedworks with the mounting kit ($65) so not bad value. Looks the part too. Probably the best of the locally made products.

Interested in the comparison, what is it that you prefer about the WRX? Just curious

Cheers

Please NOTE this is MY opinion... and MY opinion only.. so please dont take offence....

The EVO 4 firstly corners and handles ALOT better.... Cornering is AWESOME.. haveing the 4wd you can basically just accelerate all the way around and through a sharp corner....

Throttle response is snappier.... and the evo 4 revs a little harder... althought my r33 had better throttle reponse over 180.

Te Evo 4 feels ALOT more stable on the road.. especially at high speeds..(over 160....I had the car up to 220 today and the car just sat flat, smooth and safe....were as my R33 seemed to drift alittle at high speed.)

What I'm comparing here is my old R33 which had

FMIC, SAFC, fuel pump, custom dump, HKS super drager xzorst, hi flow cat, apexi pod.....

and

My evo 4, 3 1/2 inch custom stainless exhaust and dump, heavy duty lower springs, BOV, air intake.

My R33 made 270hp at the wheels as alot of guys here know... and for a r33 that will run a best time of about 13.7.... my evo 4 with its current mods plus a new ecu and air pod upgrad will do low 13's.. and once I put a vf22 (sti) turbo on it (which only cost $1400 as apossed to expensive garret turbos for the nissan's).. my car will be easily into the 12's.........

Please again this is my opinion only ... I do not want to offend anyone.
