RPMGTR
ok....if you have the type r plumbed back, make sure it is adjusted so it is open at idle vacumn.........this allows the air pumped by the turbos to travel in a circuit rather than chuffing out the afms... hope that helps.. 600hp
I'm not sure how you mean open. are you saying you can wind out the blow of valve soo far out, the the valve itself is not touching the seal.or do you mean the with the vacum from idle is enough to open the valve? Thanks,Ben Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/75378-jun-plenum-installed-the-results/page/2/#findComment-1387672 Share on other sites

R32-GTS
I had to remove my blitz bov and refit the factory gtr bovs as i was having alot of problems. Surging , stalling etc etc. Factory bovs plumbed back fixed the problems. 600hp
We have had the car running for about a year with the type r in blump back. There has never had a problem before. I think it must be an air leak somewhere. ISL33P
sounds like the car is hunting. it not have an airt leak or leaky bov at all. it is casued by excessive vacuum in the plenum which most computers can not compensate for at idle. i have sent it on several cars and it is nothing to be worried about. usually happens with the installation of a larger (aftermarket) plenum. the idle will always vary between a certain range e.g. 800-1000 rpm. discopotato03
I'm curious to know if it has aggressive camshafts in it as that would show up as reversion with a single common throttle plenum manifold . I think Nissan used the std multi throttle system so that longer overlap cams , that breath and scavenge well , don't get the reversion problem . Could the noise be a boom box effect from having all the inlet ports open to the plenim volume . Jun being aftermarket may not have put much thought into sound suppression . Also the high power engines that use these inlet manifolds , do these have huge turbos sort of flat out or nothing power delivery ? I'm curious as to why you would use this with more response friendly turbos . Please note I'm not having a dig at you just wondering about maximum effort manifold with road user friendly turbos - would they compliment each other . Cheers A .
