I have just bought an R33 and am getting my stereo gear put into it.

Overtime I have heard many different people have their own opinions on how to mount subs. Facing out up against the back seat, facing in up against the back seat, on one side at the boot entrance facing in and out on the sides etc....

I currently have my gear in my Astra and I have the sub facing into the car up against the entrance to the boot and get pretty good base from this. However in my Astra I leave my ski hatch open.

I noticed in the skyline that you can't fold the seat down and that the battery sits in a mid section between the boot and the back seat.

Has anyone mounted a sub in this mid section and moved the battery and fuses into the boot?

As far as putting the sub in the boot it's self does anyone have any idea on putting a port into the parcell shelf?

I have a Pioneer head deck a Coustic 4 ch amp and a 12" Kicker sub.

Thanks!:D

You might be able to move the battery to fit the sub behind the seats but there really isnt much room at all. A 10" will fit without too much trouble.

I've just got a pre-fab box in the boot with 2 10s. Couldn't be stuffed with the whole install thing in the end. Also I get to keep the boot space!

If your ever down Tuggeranong way during the week, stop into Audio Tech.

One of the blokes that work there has a white R33 and is doing a good install in his own car.

I think he was saying that he is going to put three 12" Boston's in the boot !!!!
