keypad start security (stalling question)

hey,

for keypad start security, i was wondering if u stall the car whilst on the road, do u need to re-enter the password before the car will start again ? or can u just start it as normal ?

im gonna be a new manual driver soon, i've been worried about this for quite some time. soo yeh, any feedbak would be great.

Ive got one on my r32 now, works great i guess. Mr_G is correct, its like a normal immobiliser, you get a certain amount of time before it activates. You can even manually turn it off (into valet mode) if your worried about it. Just remember to turn it back on.

Nah the alarm place did it at the same time as they put the other alarm in. The jaycar kit comes with instructions though, maybe go in and have a look at them?

also wouldn't this interfere with a remote start but turbo timers should be ok?

Mine works with my turbo timer. I'll look tonight to see if ive got the part number lying around

if it integrates with the standard alarm i wouldnt put one in if i were you..

just makes it easier to find the alarm and disable it, with wires from the nice obivous keypad to follow.

if u actually hid it somewhere good, it would be difficult to access it to type in the code so no point
