RB25 Injectors (Long type, short type)

Hi guys,

I've tried doing a search on this, but can't seem to find anything about the difference between the "long type" and "short type". I've noticed that I can get higher flowing injectors for my car, but am often given the option of a long type or a short type... Which would fit my engine? (RB25DET in a series 2 R33)

I'm not sure what exactly is meant by the "long" and "short" types but I assume that it may relate to the fact that some injectors like SARD need collars to fit (possibly short) and nismo, HKS etc... are direct fit (possibly long)

dont want to hijack thread but what colour are standard 33 rb25det injectors, are they purple

yep, and the n/a ones are red.

the sard 550cc are 2xtime as long as the stock injector..sard can come with collar that fit rite into side feel rail of the rb25det.......not sure about nismo or hks

I've got sard 550cc short injectors haven't fitted them yet, but as far as Nengun was concerned they look like the Nismo injectors so might be a direct fit they just weren’t a 100% sure (might not need the collar).

that funny..so the sard injector look like nismo injector???

I'm not sure I haven't seen nismo injectors but that is what I was told, all injectors would look roughly the same. But what they ment was more size.
