Hi all, ive done a search on this but i cant find anything definitive. What is the recommended way to set idle speed on an R33 GTSt? I notice that under the bonnet it says 650RPM, but mine sits just below 1000RPM all the time. its not a huge problem but something i would like to correct.

thanks in advance

sam

ive still got the stock plumb-back bov in place, the only mods i have are FMIC, straight thru 3" exhaust, bleed valve set to 10psi and a pod filter. yeah i figure it must be because of these mods that it idles high, i went for a ride in a stock R33 the other day and it idled nicely at about 700RPM.

hi guys, my r33 has powerfc, cooler, exhaust, boost controller, pod filter and it idles at 750rpm perfectly. no problems whatso ever. i dont see why those mods would make your idle different unless you have a leak or mismatched something. check for leaks, something mismatched (like bad sized cams or something, or cooler too big) and check the airflow meter as well. also try an ecu reset? even on stock ecu i was idling perfect before powerfc went in

I think theres something called the AAC valve ?? its near the TPS (I could never find it.. gave up looking seems I wasnt gonna play with it in the end).

U can adjust it with a philips screwdriver to change the idle.

If you search around for it there should be some pics of where it is exactly etc.
