very few skylines come into aust with reading over 100,000 that coupled with yes they can be rolled back means you have to look at other indicators of a car's age when purchasing one. If you get compression and leak down test, mechanical check and you like the state of the interior etc don't let the possibility of an incorrect odo reading put you off ;)

Use your head. If a car has full log books, immaculate interior and no wear on the original steering wheel and handbrake then low kms are probably genuine. There are however plenty of cases where you see a car that is quite rough around the edges with 95k on the clock and has obviously been wound back
