Bearings... WTF?!

Hi all...

Having some trouble regarding bearings for my RB25. I have been getting prices and what not for big-end and main bearings. I have been quoted around 250 for big end and main bearings, but, APPARENTLY you can only get the big-ends from nissan genuine. Does this sound right to you guys? As I work in a workshop we have very good sources for parts and I need to know if this autobarn wang is pulling my leg or not?

I got mine from ACL in the heat treated race series.

RB30 mains

SR20 big ends.

$140 from my machine shop.

Oh I see. Ok I new that I had to order the RB30 mains, but I'm not to sure about the SR20 idea. Are they the exact item just to suit the 4 cyl, so I'll need to buy 8 right?

as above but the acl race series are on back order for three weeks so i went for king race bearings at a simular price but if u can wait go the acl race series they are ment to be good, autobarn is pulling your chain.

The SR20 and RB25/26 big end bearings are identical. ACL make them in sets of 6 but even 2 sets of 4 would be cheaper than the bandits at Nissan.
