Need to find rb25

Hello people,

I live in brisbane and i am chasing an RB25det with manual gearbox and loom, no computer as i am getting a power fc.

i have rung 9 different import wrecker and all have nothing

so i figure what better place then NSW to find one. So i am asking if anyone could give me some numbers of wreckers down there that they may have had some experience with.

Just so im clear i am NOT after an R33 front cut as that is a waste of money for me (to many un-used parts), i just want a complete rb25det with manual box and uncut loom!!!!!!!1

how much could i expect to pay for this up here if they ever have any it is about $2800 - $3000

That is about the going rate... How much are you expecting them to cost you?

gearboxes sell for around $1500 each or thereabouts.. if that gives about $1500 for the engine and the loom, thats a pretty good deal.

Most of the time the half cut is still better value for money, as you will recoup your cost selling the little bits and pieces you don't need. And you can claim "well I can't be bothered".. that is why a half-cut is comparitively better value than a straight engine/etc separated, as nobody has had to spend the time pulling the crap off it, the engine out, etc, etc. It gets just chopped up as the cut and sent over "as is". Time is money.
