Modifying S2 R33 front bar to fit FMIC

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any step by step procedure for modifying the front bar of a S2 R33 front bar to accommodate an FMIC its the usual 650 x 300 x 76 i have modified the re-enforcement bar (solid metal thing) but as the front bar will be visible i want to do it properly and make it look the goods so if anyone has any pics can you please post them up or pm me

hi leigh,

you need to cutout the black fins in the middle of S2 bar and trim around the insides near the indicator areas to make the piping fit. see url http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/pics/mycar...ge4/page_01.htm

i with mine i had to cut alittle more than the the black line and u gotta take alot out of the sides of the idicator sides for the piping

i too had to cut more than the black plastic trimming of the fin.

yer its abit u gotta take out but when u finish cuting wif air saw use a angle grinder and clean it up

u used a saw to cut it off? i remember when i did mine, yonks ago, i just used the angle grinder as it was so much easier and less time consuming.

thanks all for the replys and paulr33 your photos look nice and clean that also explained partially what to do with the damn horns that now wont fit behind the IC lol i was just trying to work out where to put them too hehe.

well with me kit i came wif a bracket which moves it back ummm dont have have a pic but it has two 90 degree bends but like a Z shape but where it is 45 degrees it 90 on da bracket (geez i suck at explaining stuff)

i dunno if dat helps buy if u dont understand ill try and draw it out

lol a little series II cheers well i am slowly getting their taking a bit longer than i thought but should be shmick in the end.
