heys

being a noobie to this whole track thing, was wandering how do u get ur car on a track and how much would it cost.

short of making the two hour drive down to collie for their "drift days" to get some track time and try drift, is there any tracks close to perth, that are relatively cheap and allow for drifting or grip sessions?

only tracks i noe of are ahg, mc, wanneroo and kwinana plex. basically would like info on how to get car on track and for how much.

cheers

SAUWA has an MC team going in for the Winter Series, PM Sneeza if your interested.

We also will be holding another driver training session at AHG in the next couple months.

Other than that, I'd join the WASCC and do track days at Waneroo once a month.

Cheers

Paul

perth performance car club is another good club for some motorsport. ppcc hold regular events that have so far been at the AHG centre doing skid pan and the track. most of us are starting out so the idea is to try a club day at collie and wanneroo etc as we get the numbers.

we have a wet skidpan day coming up at AHG. if you are keen send me a pm and see if we can secure a spot for you. the more motorsport oriented members we get the more motorsport we can do :D

edit: the website is www.perthperformance.com, check out the forums.

all fours and rotaries also run track days, www.allfours.org.au

they have a track day at collie comming up, which has been delayed to august due to the track rebuild down there, they have run waneroo days in the past, but the cost of hiring waneroo 3kish is somewhat preventative to running them now..

joining the WASCC is another way, membership is about $215 according to the website, and renewual is about $180, this allows you to hit the track on tuning days for $40 odd, saddly they arn't very drift friendly, and you'll get a talking to if you try..

your also meant to only go at 80% of your capabilities, no on ever does but they say to only go that hard..

collie is your best bet, just saddly atm, as it has been since the start of the year, they are doing some big upgrades down there, which have been delayed due to weahter and other issues, which sucks, as it'll have been nearly 9 months since legal drifto by the timewe get there in august..
