Random plug/socket on 32gtst

Hi guys, I recently bought an r32 gtst in japan and am still currently waiting on import approval. I was having a close up look at this photo, and noticed that there is a plug/socket hanging down from the dash. You can see it hanging in front of the foot rest. Does anybody know what this plug is for, and is it a bad thing that it is disconnected?

um, mate... could be anything!

I wouldn't worry about it, until it gets here and you can investigate properly.

I remember when I got the photos for mine I was looking for every hint of this and that in them, but when it got here it was all pretty much fine. Some things were a bit better than expected, some things a little worse - but nothing major.
