Where to install HKS Turbo Timer?

I think i will get my self a HKS type one turbo timer to put in my R33 Skyline and was just wondering where the best place to install it would be.

I was thinking it would go well in the space for the ash tray (I don’t Smoke) but not sure how well it will fit.

Or maybe cut up the dash below the steering column some where?

Where have people got them in there cars?

Any ideas?

Mine was mounted in the ashtray for free when i got my stereo installed, it looks pretty good.

What if you want to use the ashtray?

Try under the steering column.

Mine is mounted between the steering wheel and the centre console.. dont mount it under the steering column as you need to be able to pull that apart to get the dash off.

My previous car had the timer mounted on top of the steering column, so you could easily see it while looking at the instrument cluster, looked quite good actually.
